A Breast Surgeon with Breast Cancer

I haven't had the pleasure of meeting my colleague, UK Breast Surgeon - Liz O'Riordan, but I chanced upon her blog a few months back.

Liz was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and has been through chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy and continues on hormonal therapy. Her unique insights as someone who sits on both sides of the fence - as cancer doctor and as cancer patient - are compelling reading and a gift to all of us.

When I contacted Liz to ask if I could post a link to her sometimes confronting, sometimes inspiring, always informative blog, she was very happy to share and said that it's helped her to continue trying to help others...
